SHOPPING - Warehouse's New Design Talent

To celebrate 25 years of London Fashion Week and the British Fashion Council, Warehouse teamed up with the British Fashion Council's Colleges Council to search for new design talent. The winner was Ruth Green from Ravensbourne College of Art and she has joined Warehouse for a three-month placement to develop her winning graduate designs into production. What a fab opportunity to make her mark on the industry!

Ruth's debut collection takes inspiration from the later works of Mark Rothko and the mixed media work of Kurt Schwitters. The collection is young, fresh and innovative with experimental use of different knitting techniques. Clean lines and bold colour provide a unique, distinctive edge, but the great news is that while it is exciting it is completely wearable. I particularly love the coordinated colour palette and stripe theme that ties it all together.

The collection is only being sold in 10 stores nationwide and will also be available to buy online, launching as of Tuesday 15th September. You can read about Ruth's journey through her diary blogs and watch the collection develop on the short video clips.

Oh, and if you fancy grabbing a bargain there will be 25% off the Warehouse main collection in the 10 stores stocking Ruth Green's collection and online at on Thursday 17th September between 5pm and 9pm. I do love a discount but that colour block dress is seriously tempting me!
